Easy Cannabis Edible Recipes For Beginners

Turns out, I had a lot to learn and I’m sharing my journey with you here today.

Baking With Cannabis

Baking with cannabis is an easy and fun way to get all of the wellness benefits, without having to smoke or inhale, or take an oil sublingually (under the tongue) if you don’t want to.

It also gives you the opportunity to experiment and explore tasty edible recipes based on your likes and loves!

And even if you’re not the best in the kitchen, making your own edibles can be relatively simple and easy.

We’ve got some great starter-recipes for you that are tasty and a great way to begin your journey to wellness with weed.

Simple Cannabis Edible Recipes You Can Make At Home

One of the first items on the list would be none other than Cannabutter.

Decadent, versatile and super easy to make – it’s the key ingredient in thousands of weed-infused recipes.

The main point and takeaway here, is to make sure you decarboxylate your cannabis first.

This is so that THCA can be converted into THC – which will produce the best effects.

How To Decarboxylate Weed


Once you’ve successfully decarbed your cannabis, it’s time to make your cannabis butter!

Just follow the directions in the recipe below, step by step.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 to 1/2 Ounce Cannabis 
  • 1 cup Butter

Instructions

  • Decarboxylate your weed by spreading your cannabis evenly on an oven tray And coat with aluminum foil.
  • Place in the oven on 240F/115C for 25 till 45 minutes, and then let it cool.
  • Grind your dry cannabis or chop it till fine.
  • Place the cannabis in a strong mason jar, add butter and (1 tsp of sunflower lecithin)(optional)
  • Place your closed jar in cold water and let it come to a boil, Boil for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Strain your butter through a cheesecloth.
  • Cool down
  • Now you can use the Cannabis Butter (Cannabutter)

Notes

If using a mason jar, be sure to start with cold water. Furthermore, it is imperative to let the water cool gradually so that your glass will not shatter.

From dinners, to lunches and yummy cookies and baked goods, you’ve now got the ammunition to make any kind of edible your heart desires.

If you’re wondering about freezing your cannabis butter, you can most definitely do so.

Just be sure to wrap it in parchment paper or plastic wrap, and place it in a sealtight container.

When you want to use it, take it out preferably the night before and allow it to sit at room temperature.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Cannabis Butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In the bowl of an electric mixer (or using a hand mixer), beat together the brown sugar and both of the butter until fluffy. Beat in the vanilla. Add the eggs one at a time, scraping the bowl after each one.
  • Mix together the flour, salt and baking soda in a medium bowl. Add it to the creamed mixture in 2 to 3 batches, mixing until just combined. Mix in the oats until just combined.
  • Use your preferred size cookie scoop (or a regular spoon) to drop portions of dough onto baking sheets, spacing them a couple inches apart. Bake until dark and chewy, 12 to 13 minutes. If you’d like a crispier cookie, just cook a little longer!
  • Let the cookies cool slightly on the baking sheets, then transfer onto a plate for serving.
  • Serve the Cannabis Oatmeal Cookies
