Try some of these easy, do-it-yourself CBD masks to calm your face and mind.

From countless beauty products to luxurious CBD spa treatments, CBD is becoming more and more integrated in the beauty product industry. It’s now the newest addition to healing lotions and ointments, massage oils, and even makeup. And the latest skin care product is the cannabis face mask.

But does it work? Most of the available evidence is anecdotal, as cannabis research is still in its early stages. There is still a lot we don’t know. With what little research there is, hardly any of it has involved human trials. However, scientists have been able to deduce a few things.

How CBD Skin Care May Help

So far, what we know is that CBD may help reduce redness, dryness and inflammation. It also has the potential to treat eczema and psoriasis. When extracted and infused into an oil, it may be beneficial for your skin. Using CBD daily may help keep inflammation at bay. This may prove to be a nice supplement or gentler alternative to topical steroid treatments.

CBD is not only a potential anti-inflammatory agent. It contains a healthy dose of vitamin D. A recent study in Clinical Therapeutics (2019) found that CBD infused ointment may significantly improve your skin. Researchers are discovering that it may hydrate the skin and increase elasticity.

Would you like to hear the best part? CBD isn’t going to do anything bad to your face. While its benefits still need more study, CBD isn’t harmful for your skin. That’s what makes it such an optimal additive to beauty products. It’s all natural, and cannot worsen skin diseases. If anything, this may really help.

Incorporating CBD Into Your Skin Care Routine

Now that CBD has been legalized in the U.S. through the 2018 Farm Bill, it’s easier than ever to get your hands on CBD-infused beauty products. It is just as easy to make your own. With some CBD oil, you can concoct lotions, ointments and creams in your home. You can also blend up ingredients from your kitchen to make your own simple face mask.

Try searching for a DIY face mask on the internet and you’ll come up with countless options. Which recipes are best for making a cannabis face mask? Basically, you can add CBD oil to any face mask recipe that is oil based.

But why stop there? You can also add CBD to milk based face masks. Yes, you can make CBD milk, through a very simple process. This recipe will get you started with minimal fuss. Once you have CBD milk at your disposal, you can use it to make your own healing mask that won’t dry you out.
