If you’ve been anywhere near the world wide web, you’ve likely seen the trend that many women and men are swearing by. Let’s dive deep and find out How Gua Sha Works with CBD Oil.
It’s important to know where Gua Sha comes from, so you understand the benefits and meaning behind it.
You may have seen influencers on Instagram or Tik Tok scraping a funky-shaped stone across their face.
It’s the latest trend to hit the airwaves, and let me tell you: it’s trending HARD.
Funny enough, the act itself is using something quite hard, and the wellness benefits are said to be phenomenal.
Gua Sha is supposed to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, encourage lymphatic fluid drainage, and improve circulation.
Regular use of the Gua Sha method has been compared to a non-surgical facelift.
Count me in!!
The word ‘Gua’ means to scrape or rub, and doing so on your face will encourage ‘Sha’ – a rash that is a type of bruise cause by capillaries that burst under your skin.
It sounds painful or hurtful, but it really is not! It feels like a facial massage. Cooling, and invigorating!
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, ‘Sha’ means “qi” (pronounced: ‘chee’) or energy/life force and it’s moving circulation around, releasing anything that is stagnant or stuck, which is amazing for your skin.
When you practice this at home, you won’t be pushing hard, or creating any visible bruising.
First things first; where do you get your own Gua Sha tool so you can enjoy this ancient practice at home?
You’re probably already opening another tab and searching for one on Amazon. Unless you have a local spa that sells them, because supporting local in my opinion is great, add one to your cart and have it shipped to you!
Next step is to bookmark this blog and as soon as your Amazon order arrives, time to massage our faces!
Use a mixture of high-quality CBD oil with a splash of coconut oil. (Recipe below) and a dash of some of your fav essential oils.
Lavender, Tea Tree Oil or Frankincense oil – all great for your skin, but need to be used sparingly and use caution if you have any skin sensitvities.
The same goes for those with any skin conditions – so please check with your Dermatologist or MD if this is the case before proceeding.
Mix it together your oils in a glass dish, and microwave it for a few seconds. I would suggest about 10-20 seconds so that’s pleasantly warm, but not too hot.
You want to pair a great Gua Sha with a proper and certified CBD oil to provide a perfect gliding-surface. It’s all about ease, smooth-surface, and movement.
Gently massage your mixture into your skin on your face, and while it’s still warm, start using your Gua Sha.
Start from your jawline area, moving upward to the base of your ear and repeat it three to five times.
Next, move upward from your nose and across your cheeks.

Once you’ve got the motions down pat, you’re going to want to continue to apply CBD oil to your face.
Not only will this provide you with a wonderfully smooth and supple surface, you’ll be further penetrating the wellness benefits of CBD into your skin for deep reception and benefits.
