Double Chocolate Pound Cake with Cannabutter

Today we are ditching the diets and making Double Chocolate Pound Cake with Cannabutter!

Calories be damned. We are throwing it all out the window to make this delicious pound cake that is completely and 100% not acceptable on any diet or meal plan app!

But today we say: who cares, there’s Cannabis!

The best thing to use here is cannabis butter. Never made it before? No worries, we’ve got you.

Making cake at any time of the year is great, and what goes better with chocolate cake than cannabis hot chocolate

Next up, without a doubt, you’ll need cannabis butter or bud butter. Whatever you call it, my friends, it’s going to taste decadent and amazing.

A recipe on how to make cannabis butter at home. After many cannabutter recipes, we find that this is by far the best way to infuse weed with butter.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 to 1/2 Ounce Cannabis 
  • 1 cup Butter

Instructions

  • Decarboxylate your weed by spreading your cannabis evenly on an oven tray And coat with aluminum foil.
  • Place in the oven on 240F/115C for 25 till 45 minutes, and then let it cool.
  • Grind your dry cannabis or chop it till fine.
  • Place the cannabis in a strong mason jar, add butter and (1 tsp of sunflower lecithin)(optional)
  • Place your closed jar in cold water and let it come to a boil, Boil for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Strain your butter through a cheesecloth.
  • Cool down
  • Now you can use the Cannabis Butter (Cannabutter)

Notes

If using a mason jar, be sure to start with cold water. Furthermore, it is imperative to let the water cool gradually so that your glass will not shatter.

Ingredients & Measurements:

  • 3 sticks of cannabutter
  • 1` block cream cheese ( softened)
  • 3 1/4 cups white granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp almond and vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2.5 cups cake flour
  • 1/2 cup dark cocoa
  • 6 eggs

Equipment

  • Standing mixer
  • Spatula
  • Loaf Pan

Ingredients

  • 3 sticks cannabutter about 5 tbsp
  • 1/2 brick cannabutter to rub on the loaf pan to prevent sticking.
  • 1 block cream cheese softened
  • 3 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp almond extract
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup dark cocoa
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Get out a loaf pan, and rub cannabutter all over it – and get those corners!
    Then, coat with granulated sugar, instead of flour.
  • To the standing mixer, add all ingredients. When you get to the eggs, don't overbeat them – let them fold in and stop.
  • Save the chocolate chips to sprinkle on top at the end.
  • Pour everything into your sugar-coated loaf pan for 75 minutes approx at 315 F.
