Dorito Fried Pickle Spirals With Cannabis Oil

You may have heard about the Christmas Pickle, and to keep things festive, today we’re making Dorito Fried Pickle Spirals With Cannabis Oil!

Easy to make, takes minutes to prep, and crispy as well as totally satisfying – you’re going to love these!

I’m always looking for fun things to do over Christmas and the holiday season, and baking is most definitely one of them – but I also like trying out new (and slightly weird) things too!

So grab your pickles and let’s get baked! (I know, that sounded way worse than what I actually meant!)

What Ingredients Will I Need?

It’s so simple! You’ll need the following:

  • Cannabis Oil ( recipe below)
  • A bag of Doritos, maybe two
  • Pickles – whole, and your favourite kind
  • Flour
  • Egg
  • Skewers
  • Ranch
  • Hot Sauce (optional)

How Do I Make Pickle Spirals?

You’ll need to first carefully choose and towel-dry your favourite kind of whole pickles.

Next, using a bamboo skewer, gently slide from the bottom of the whole pickle almost to the top – but not through.

You want to have lots of skewer at the bottom visible, so you can spiral the pickle and spread it out.

Then, using a sharp knife, slice around the length of the pickle, but don’t cut all the way through.

When you’re finished, spread out the pickle on the stick and you can dip and coat it, getting it ready to fry!

Pair these with a nice refreshing cannabis cocktail for an even better high!

How Do I Make Cannabis Oil?

We’re going to fry our pickles in cannabis oil, so follow the recipe below!

Dorito Fried Pickle Spears – The Recipe

Step #1 – The Pickle Preparation

  1. Using about 6-8 pickles or more, pat them each dry with a paper towel and set them aside.
  2. Grabbing the same amount of skewers, gently slide the sticks from the bottom up, and don’t let them stick out of the top.
  3. With a sharp knife, slice entirely around the length of the pickle being careful not to slice all the way through, and then spread the pickle out to the length of the skewer – leave a spot on the bottom as the handle.

Step #2- Coating the Pickles

  1. Use one cup of flour and place in a separate bowl.
  2. Prepare two eggs gently whisked in another bowl.
  3. Put half a bag of crushed Dorito Chips in another bowl.

Taking your pickle skewer one by one, place in flour and coat, then dip in eggs, and then place in Doritos. Repeat for all pickles.

Step # 3 – Deep Frying in Cannabis Oil

Using a large, deep pot, on medium high – heat up 2-3 cups of Cannabis oil. Fry pickles until golden brown and enjoy!

Use ranch dipping sauce or your favorite dip and sprinkle with topping like sour cream and green onions.
