With the legalization of recreational cannabis increasing, some couples have opted to incorporate weed into their wedding day festivities instead of alcohol. Cannabis bars are becoming a growing trend at weddings being held in legal states.
Companies are offering everything from marijuana bouquets and edibles to entire open bars that serve cannabis.
#weedweddings and you will find a couple thousand examples of couples that organized their weddings in a complete cannabis theme, and guests seem to love it. And why not? Is it not a lot more fun for wedding guests if marijuana is involved?
In this Couple’s Marijuana Wedding the bride and the bridesmaids carried bouquets studded with cannabis buds and flowers; the groom and the groomsmen wore boutonnieres starring cannabis leaves and buds. At the end of the ceremony, rather than reciting personalized vows or smashing a glass, “we sealed it with a dab,” the bride said. Then, to get the party started, everyone lit up a joint on a beach.
So how does it work?
The very first Cannabis Wedding Expo took place in Denver, Colorado. Cannabis-loving couples were invited to learn how to safely and creatively incorporate marijuana at their wedding in a classy way.
The expo gives couples various cannabis-themed wedding ideas to run with. Inspiration includes types of marijuana-infused edibles to serve, examples of weed-themed decor and so much more.
If you’re invited to a weed wedding, you’ll be lucky because they’re pretty amazing. And while smoking weed at a wedding is a pretty common concept for many of you, a weed wedding allows the indulgence to be public, glamorized and enjoyed by all.
