How Can CBD Help Depression?

If you’re looking into CBD as a means for therapeutic support during depression or any other mental or physical symptoms, you need to know that while there are clinical studies and proof, not enough information is available.

There are many conditions that create depression as a result, and some studies show that chronic pain can be decreased with CBD.

Another recent study shows that CBD helps with anti-stress effects which can effectively reduce depression and the onset of depression.

CBD VS Medicine

So what about CBD vs medicine? Does it work better or more effectively than pharmaceuticals?

More studies need to be conducted on humans, but studies on animals have proven to show that CBD works much faster than traditional medicine, AND works as an anti-depressant.

How Do I Use CBD Oil?

There are many ways you can begin to use CBD oil, and we’ll outline them below. It’s important to speak with your medical practitioner first, to ensure that you’re using CBD properly along with the right dose for you.

We never would, and never will advise you to ever stop taking medication and replace it with CBD. We do encourage you to take charge of your health and have meaningful conversations with your Doctor to see if CBD can help you, and decrease depression.

Here’s How You Can Use CBD:

  • Orally which includes capsules, oils, tinctures, and sprays. You can take them as they are, or infuse them into coffee, or in smoothies.
  • Edibles this is where you incorporate CBD oil into recipes like brownies, cookies, or decadent dinners.
  • Vaping – vaping may be the way to go for some, but it might not work for you. There are some concerns out there that vaping causes long-term and adverse effects so use this option with caution.
  • Topical -lotions, potions, and creams are all topical options that are wonderful for beauty, and you may wish to use them more so for pain rather than dealing with depression.

COVID and Depression

Rightfully so, there are people all over the world barely getting by. This is why CBD may be a powerful support tool during these challenging times.

Of course, we want to suggest that you do everything you can in addition to exploring CBD oil which includes taking very good care of yourself with counselling, fresh air, and healthy eating for starters.

Not being able to ‘get out’ and see a counselor, for example, can cause even more anxiety and depression.

There are reasonable and professional options such as the online counseling platform Better Help.
