Weed butter is a great basic ingredient that rounds out delicious cannabis-infused edibles so today we’re creating Cannabis Butter: A Simple Guide To Make Cannabutter At Home.
This THC infusion requires an important initial step and we’re going to outline everything for you in this article.
Cannabutter is THC-infused butter that can be used in hundreds if not thousands of yummy edible recipes that will get you high.
Infused weed butter can only become an edible once you’ve followed all of the steps properly to ensure it’s actually infused, and prepared properly.
Unfortunately, not everyone loves the taste of cannabis.
So if you want to lessen the flavour of cannabis there are a few steps to take:
THC must morph from its acidic form to its psychoactive form. We achieve this by heating cannabis at a low temperature. This initial step is called decarboxylating or decarbing.
Once your THC is activated, it is time to infuse your butter with this elevating ingredient.
Of course, it is very important to properly dose cannabis butter. Do not over-saturate your butter with THC.
It is possible for overconsumption to cause uncomfortable feelings.
Our cannabutter recipe is carefully dosed, and it is our intention for this infusion to create an ideal high.
You can swap out your regular butter for delicious cannabis butter.
In other words, any recipe that requires butter can now contain your THC butter.
Suffice to say, cannabutter may be used in sweet THC edibles like cheesy breadsticks, Amaretti cookies, Strawberry cake, and Cannabutter stuffed chicken.
Cannabis-infused butter is an exciting addition to every meal!
The process, once you’ve mastered it, will become easier each time.
We always suggest doubling up on your batches so you have lots to use whenever you need it.
The process of making weed-infused butter:
The best utensils make all the difference when creating cannabis edibles at home.
Spatulas and silicon utensils are just an all-around awesome tool for your kitchen.
When you’re baking weed edibles, you can use them to get all of the batter into your pans, and especially with cannabutter – they can be very handy!
When you’re transferring the liquid butter over to a dish, you’ll need proper utensils to make sure you can actually transfer properly.
Using 100% silicone ensures you won’t burn or stick at all.
You can purchase your new favourite utensil kit here.
Another great tool to use when making weed butter is a butter mold.
When you’re making cannabutter whether it’s for the first time or you’re seasoned Canna-Chef, it’s important to always follow the same precise steps and measurements to ensure that your batch of butter comes out perfectly each and every time.
Using unsalted butter in your cannabis mixture means that you can use it in plenty of edible baking recipes because in most cases, you’ll need unsalted.
When you get this recipe down pat, we recommend creating two batches: one that is salted, and one unsalted.
That way, no matter what, you’ve got options and choices!
Another great way to store and keep your weed butter longer is to prepare a batch and then pour it into ice-cube trays in the freezer, covered. They last for weeks and you can just plop in a cube or two for meals like stir fry’s, chicken, etc.
Carefully follow the step-by-step recipe below and please partake responsibly.
