Cannabis Butter & Steak Rubs -Sizzling Summer Recipes

Steak is a summertime staple for many meat-eaters around the world, and what better time of the year than now to enjoy a delicious cut (or three) of striploin, t-bone, or filet mignon with an amazing and lip-smacking DIY Cannabis butter & steak-rub?

Steak rub really is a fine-art, only to be followed specifically for the best results and we’ll tell you why below.

Maybe you’re getting bored of the same old steak rub, and want to (literally) spice things up more? We’ve got you!

But this time, however, your steak-rub comes with a sneaky twist: a velvety-smooth cannabis butter to lather on top of your rub for out-of-this-world flavor!

Your rub will not only taste amazing, but you’ll also get the benefits of feeling relaxed, full, and happy with a creamy-butter topping that taste incredible!

We recommend rubbing your steak overnight or 40 minutes before the meat hits the grill. This gives your cut time to soak everything in for best-mouth-watering-results!

First things first, let’s talk about some of the cuts of steak you’ll need to use for righteous-rubbing and juicy results:

  1. Rib-Eye Steak – tender, beefy – this bad boy is the king of steaks to slap on the bbq. You can choose bone-in or bone-out – but we prefer bone-in. It adds more flavor and it’s easier to hold for those carnivorous-cannabis-lovers!
  2. Strip-loin: super juicy, loaded with intense beef flavor, and if you’re lucky you can find a cut that has some decent marbling and some fantastic fat for more flavor bursting!
  3. Tenderloin or Filet Mignon: it’s the most expensive, and like its name suggests it’s tender! They can be tough and dry out easily, so you’ll want a thick cut with fat, and make sure the butcher is specific ( and not just calling every cut a tenderloin)  
  4. T-Bone Steak – it’s similar to a porterhouse ( which will cost you an arm and a leg in a steak house) but this cut is tender and large – perfect for the hungry-appetite.

Equipment

  • BBQ
  • Bowls
  • Whisk
  • BBQ Brush
  • BBQ utensils ( tongs, flippers, etc )
  • Plate for the steak after they are BBQ'd

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Himalayan Salt
  • 2 tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Freshly pressed garlic
  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tbsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Corriander
  • 1 tbsp Dill Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Cannabutter Save until the end!
  • 4 cuts Steak of your choice

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a large bowl
  • Whisk everything up EXCEPT your cannabutter, until it's mixed together properly
  • Place your choice cut of steak into the bowl and rub the mixture around and leave overnight or for at least 45 minutes prior to BBQ'ing
  • Once ready to BBQ, place the steak on the grill and cook to your liking!
  • When your steak is done, let it rest on a plate for a few minutes and then cover the top of your meat with cannabutter or dip your steak into it (or both!)

  • BBQ Cooking utensils
  • Plate for resting your steak

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Herbs de provence grab this at your local grocers
  • 1 tbsp freshly minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp Himalayan Salt
  • 1 tbsp Freshly cracked pepper
  • 4 cuts Steak of your choice
  • 2 tbsp Cannabutter SAVE UNTIL THE END!

Instructions

  • Mix everything into a bowl and whisk generously EXCEPT for the cannabutter
  • Put your choice cuts in the bowl to marinate overnight OR for at least 45 minutes before you put them on the BBQ so they soak up the goodness
  • When they are ready, throw them on the grill and cook to your liking!
  • When the steak is done, place them on a plate to rest for 2 minutes. Afterward, rub some cannabutter on top for a little extra buzz!
